Ready for a fun tasting tour? Then head to Adams County, PA to have your fill of beer, cider, wine, and spirits! If you crave beer or cider, check my previous post here, but if you are all about wine and spirits, then read on. Crave all of them? Then be sure to check out both posts!
Adams County is filled with beauty, history, and rolling hills, which lends itself easily to growing fruits, which can then be turned into delicious beverages. The area has some of the loveliest wineries and a fab distillery in downtown Gettysburg for you to tour.
I was invited by Destination Gettysburg to experience their tour. Opinions are genuine and my own.
Adams County Pour Tour
Adams County Winery
With names like “Tears of Gettysburg” and “Rebel Red” (which also happened to be my two favorites!) Adams County Winery offers some of the tastiest wines around. Plus, the labels of their bottles serve as art pieces. This is a perfect stop on the tour as you can enjoy an oven roasted pizza and roam the gorgeous grounds as you savor the different varieties of wine.
I also was able to put a pin on their map Lynchburg, VA. Take a peek at the last photo in this section to see if you can find it!

Halbrendt Winery
This stop in Adams County was a sheer delight. The vineyards greet you as you enter, and roaming their rows of grapes is an experience in itself. What a gorgeous property! Their wines are free flowing in the Halbrendt Vineyard & Winery tasting room, which is just a short walk away from their vines.

Mason Dixon Distillery
What a fun place! I am a huge lightweight when it comes to alcohol (although my absolute favorite drink is honey whiskey, so…), but I adored spending time at Mason Dixon Distillery. When we arrived for lunch, a tasting of various cocktails made using their spirits awaited. Delicious!
This location is owned by a father/son team. Both gentlemen are filled with personality and knowledge about the process of making rum, whiskey, and vodka. A tour of their facility is quite an education!

If you are within driving distance to Gettysburg or are going to be near there, heading out on the Adams County Pour Tour is educational and – of course – delicious. Grab a designated driver, and have a great time on the tour.

Adams County looks to be a great place to visit! The whiskey distillery looks awesome, it’s so good to see family-run distilleries thriving.
Yes! They were such a fabulous father/son team!
I’d so love to live near a place like this! My hubby and I could spend loads of time there!
I haven’t been on a winery tour in a while. I have only done the ones in the Midwest.
Wine, wine, wine. Adams County has a great reputation for the best wines out there. I could use a tour like this, once in a while.
