Headed to New York City? If you’re a book lover, I have the perfect place for you! With comfortable rooms and a fab location, I’m sure you’ll agree that The Library Hotel is a perfect choice for those staying in The Big Apple.
I received a complimentary stay at The Library Hotel, yet all opinions are honest and my own.
My stay at The Library Hotel
Conferences are fun! I always learn a ton and leave invigorated and with a head exploding full of ideas. New York City was my destination for a time of learning and connecting, and I enjoyed having a respite and a bit of time to myself after being with thousands of people. Here are a few things I noticed (and loved!) while I was there.
nods to the library
I wouldn’t call myself a super avid book reader, although I do read a bunch when I have time during the summer months. That being said, I am a writer, so anything really writing or book related makes me happy! I loved all of the references to books throughout The Library Hotel. From actual books to rooms and art referencing the Dewey Decimal System, a lot of creativity is expressed throughout the spaces.
the room (& toiletries!)
Of course, my room was comfortable and quiet – especially for being in the heart of New York City! The bed was perfectly plush, and of course the bathroom was spacious and came with high quality toiletries, which I always love. The saying on the pillow “book lovers never go to bed alone” was super cute, too!
afternoon wine & cheese
One thing I love about The Library Hotel is the fact that they have afternoon snacks available. They have a wine and cheese time, which also includes a few sweets. It’s really nice to have an afternoon respite, and if it includes wine, it’s even better!
Also included is a continental breakfast with plenty of food (and coffee!) to fill you up before you head out for the day. P.S. They have Nutella!!
the surrounding buildings
One thing I especially loved was looking out at the buildings surrounding the hotel itself. The architecture and stonework on the building I could see outside of my room and the breakfast room was so lovely! I tried to recreate one of the windows (but only had time to do half) in the sketch below. So intriguing and intricate!
Bookmarks, the rooftop bar
Ok, now. We are talking New York City. And if there is ANY city that needs to have fabulous rooftop bars and restaurants, The Big Apple is the one. Bookmarks (cute name!) has both indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. It’s beautiful!
… and a fashion show!
I truly enjoyed my stay at The Library Hotel. The conference I attended included a fashion show near Bryant Park. I thought it would be fun to include a snap of me on the red carpet and a few from the show itself. Enjoy!
