Recently I attended a conference, and I had the privilege of spending the night at the beautiful Hotel Elysee in New York City. Conveniently located, the room was beautiful as was the view! Take a peek at all of the things I loved about my stay.
I received a complimentary stay at Hotel Elysee, but all opinions are my own. I thoroughly enjoyed my time!
Hotel Elysee in New York City
the first impression
With a convenient location and a stately, established building, the first impressions of the hotel were fabulous! Being greeted by a doorman along with perusing the stunning lobby really made me excited to stay at such a lovely place. The metal “E” outside in the sidewalk is a pretty addition, too. Be sure to look down if you go!
the room
I stayed in what was called a Junior Suite, and it was incredible. I literally jumped up and down (NOT on the bed, I promise!!) when I got into the room. It was so lovely, and I was a bit sad that I was solo. Such a great respite with a comfy bed and multiple areas for sitting and relaxing. Just look how beautiful!
the wine & cheese time
When I stayed at their sister hotel, The Library Hotel, I mentioned this, but there is such a nice continental breakfast. AND there is also a wine and cheese time in the afternoon. Tea, wine, fruit, and cookies (hello, yummy Milano cookies!) all made for a nice treat each afternoon.
the views
Vast views of the city speak for themselves. I was up high, and it was great to overlook the hustle and bustle from the comfort of my own room. And see those balconies? So pretty!! You are truly fortunate if you get to stay in one of those rooms. Beautiful!
the bathroom
Of course, what girl isn’t a sucker for a fabulous bathroom? Fresh, white towels, a warm vibe, and quality toiletries were all a perfect compliment to the room itself.
All in all, I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Elysee in New York City!
The upscale, yet vintage feel of the hotel coupled with the kindness of the staff really sealed the deal for me. The doorman was kind enough to snap a photo for me before I left. Sidebar #1 – I love my vintage dress. It’s one of my favorite pieces. Sidebar #2 – I JUST noticed the man behind me. Lol. If anyone knows him, tell him he’s caught. Ha! Looks like he approves of my 1970s find.
Take a peek at my room – I videoed it while I was there!

What a beautiful hotel. I love how stately and old-timey it is, while it still has a very stylish and modern feel to it. I adore that view, as well. I’m so glad you had a great time.
Great review with pictures showing all details of the hotel. Love the junior suite, simply stunning with all the lights and plenty of areas for sitting and relaxing.

It looks lovely and I adore places with such a character. SO CHARMING! I would definitely consider staying there!
This place looks absolutely fabulous. I love NYC. It’s been a while since I visited. I really want to go back so bad really soon. This time with my boyfriend. Would love to stay in the room with the balcony. That would be so cozy. Love the decor of this hotel and NYC hospitality is always great.
Aside from the luxurious room, I love that they serve breakfast and afternoon snacks to guests. Will recommend this to my friend who’s planning to visit NYC in the fall. 🙂
Oh yay! Please do. It’s a great place! 🙂

Oh boy, I would love to visit such place! Apart from location, views and the beauty of the place itself, when I read about the wine and cheese time – that sounds just perfect to me. I think that’s a very nice idea.
