I adore the water and anything to do with it. Watersports, swimming in the lake, jumping waves at the beach, enjoying the scenery. It’s all fab. That love stems from all of the summers (literally every summer of my entire life!) being spent at freshwater lakes and heading to the Jersey shore. No matter where it comes from, I loved staying at Oceano Hotel & Spa in Half Moon Bay, CA. Situated right along Pillar Point Harbor, I had a wonderful, relaxing time. Take a peek at what I experienced while I was there!
I visited Oceano Hotel & Spa as a guest of the SMCCVB. All opinions are genuine and my own about this gorgeous property.
Oceano Hotel & Spa
As soon as I pulled up to Oceano, I knew I was in for a treat. With a unique look and feel, the outside was filled with balconies facing the ocean. And just take a look at that lobby! I literally swooned over how lovely it was with the monochromatic color palette and oceanic vibes. I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph it empty, but there were plenty of instances where I saw guests sitting on the couches chatting and lounging as they enjoyed the space. So lovely!
The hallways give off a beachy feel with the color scheme and beadboard doors. It’s details like that which set Oceano Hotel & Spa apart! My room was so spacious. It had a fireplace that I utilized for ambiance, comfort and – admittedly – to warm up the air to speed dry some of my skivvies, lol! Hey, you do what you need to when you’re traveling, right?
My room consisted of a cozy bed, luxurious bathroom, sitting area – complete with couch, table and chairs, fireplace, and desk – and balcony with an ocean view. So pretty! It was comfortable and large enough that I wanted to spend time there. Whoever planned out the rooms did such a wonderful job. And I couldn’t wait to explore Pillar Point Harbor on my own.
Remember what I said about loving the water? Well, I live in Virginia, so even though it was really early California time, I was up and ready to explore while the sun was still lifting the clouds. I headed out from the hotel and perused the docks. I loved the art on the restaurant sign (so cute!), and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the boats. How fun are some of the names? Miss Moriah, Fortuna, Virginia J, and Dolly Dugger were some of the titles I stumbled upon. I obviously loved it, so excuse me while I inundate you with photos from my walk.
P.S. you can go kayaking, too!
just one more…
I couldn’t end without showing you my favorite shot of the harbor. So pretty! And be sure to check out the video below. You can see the stately Oceano from my vantage point, and I just couldn’t resist showing off how lovely the area was. If you ever need to head to Half Moon Bay, CA I would highly recommend Oceano Hotel & Spa. With a friendly staff and on-site restaurant (I had breakfast there!), it really is the bayfront hotel for spending a few relaxing days. For more information about Oceano Hotel & Spa, just click HERE.
